In Mumbai, Diwali is not just a religious event; it resembles a carnival with jaw-dropping decoration all across the Hiranandani Estate. For this one week, Hiranandani estate gets transformed into a public attraction  

Temporary structures and the light—popping up on township. These structures have extravagant themes and artworks. Vehicles and people weave in and out, interacting with these amazing pop-up structures all around them.

If you’ve visited Thane,Mumbai around Diwali, you couldn’t have missed the elaborate light decorations put up on the Hiranandani estate township premises over 5 days in the run-up to Lord Ram's returned to Ayodhaya.

Standing beside the vibrant labour of love on Diwali, the workers explained to me how the preparations for the festival begin months in advance, the samples at least two months before the festival begins, after which they begin making the designs.

“It’s a lot of hard work because each detail that you see around the township gets individual attention,” the display holds a mix of traditional and modern motifs.
