MOTHER TERESA   Mother Teresa (1910–1997) was a Roman Catholic nun who devoted her life to serving the poor and destitute around the world. She spent many years in Calcutta, India where she founded the Missionaries of Charity, a religious congregation devoted to helping those in great need. In 1979, Mother Teresa was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize and became a symbol of charitable, selfless work. Black and White Charcoal Drawing Charcoal and graphite are one of the oldest art mediums.  Charcoal is a unique media which can be used to create detailed or more expressive sketches and drawings in grays and blacks.  Charcoal art is a form of art in which charcoal powder and different types of charcoal- vine, compressed, pencil form is used.  I enjoy using this black and white charcoal drawing technique for drawings. The mid-tones are established by the toned paper. I use paintbrushes such as this one are great for blending charcoal. I have my dark and light values mapped out on my drawing, and am feeling much more confident in the overall proportion  

VINTAGE  POSTCARD  ART Art meets the vintage original post card.  I collected some old postcards from the nearby post office and transformed them with intricate acrylic hand paintings. On these old vintage postcards these bright colors create the magic... a real joy of innovative painting  

\  I  have been volunteering at Jeevan Samvardhan Foundation for homeless children and last couple of weeks I was interaction with homeless and differently abled girls.  It was a great feeling when I could provide them the experience of the sweetness of a relationship by giving them love like a family.  One of my key purposes of this volunteer work is to make homeless children self-reliant by educating them according to their Skill / ability and changing society's attitude towards homeless children through public participation in social activities.  And I am confident that rehabilitating homeless children afflicted with social problems and creating a healthy youth is must for a self-reliant society.  I engaged myself with foundation children in teaching them artworks, English language and making Diyas which they would go later go on to sell to earn money to help with educational fees and necessary materials 

  PEBBLE TRANSFORMATION A rock, a large piece of rock weathers off a cliff and dives deep into a pool of gushing water. Back washed, It journeys roughly and knocks of other rocks, smashing through the waves as it loses itself in scattered pieces except for its core. That core travels far and wide, it coarsely gets ground by gravel pieces smaller than itself and bullied by boulders all of which it bears up as it withstands the pressure of a distant journey off the shore. At some point, it gets dry and it encounters mud, it gets smeared dirty but the mud doesn't stick, the rain washes of the mud and it rolls off into the sand. It dances in the sand and dives into the bottom of the waves. Rising like a phoenix through the ashes, it emerges polished, looking more beautiful than it did when it got edged of the cliff.   Positive and negative   A black vase or two white faces.  The negative space are white profiles surrounding the positive space- the black vase. Positive and negative space play an important role in determining the overall composition in a work of art.  By understanding positive and negative space and applying your knowledge, Simply put, positive space is best described as the areas in a work of art that are the subjects, or areas of interest. Negative space is area around the subjects, or areas of interest. the white area as the positive space. The black areas become the negative space. Usually the positive space is the object(s) you draw, and the negative space is the background that surrounds it. The negative space can be an effective tool to define your center of interest.
