8 years of Musical journey "Choir actually changed my life and taught me how to dedicate myself to a collective and settle for nothing less than excellence" NCPA-‘Stand Together’- Choral Music Concert, The Mehli Mehta Music Foundation- 27th Aug 2022 I've been with The Mehli Mehta Music Foundation for the past 8 years and going from the junior choir , middle choir , senior choir and finally the youth choir feels like such an amazing accomplishment. Every year we have a music concert to show how much we have learnt over the years and nothing feels better than knowing that I have grown up with such amazing teachers who have always been there to guide me every step of the way.   Sing, then. Sing, indeed, with shoulders back, and head up so that song might go to the roof and beyond to the sky. Mass on mass of tone, with a hard edge, and rich with quality, every single note a carpet of colour woven from basso profundo, and basso, and baritone, and alto, and tenor, and soprano,

CELEBRATING JANMASHTHAMI   Janmashtami, one the most popular festivals in India, is celebrated to mark the birth of Lord Krishna. To play act the love of Dahi that the naughty lord had, especially in the Western parts of India – breaking the Dahi Handi is a popular form of celebration. For someone who has never witnessed it – the experience is as breathtaking as it is memorable. All the Govindas come together for one clear goal -which is to break the hanging handi. The interesting fact here is that, all the Govindas are not very well intimately familiar with each other. Because the number of Govindas required to break at handi is dependent on the height of that hanging handi, for every other handi there are always a different number of people who form a human pyramid. The whole team is a self driven, self motivated unit focused around one clear goal – which is to break the handi. All the Govindas intuitively understand the requirement of the situation. For making a human pyramid, it is

INDIA'S 75th INDEPENDENCE DAY Vir Chakra is India’s third highest wartime gallantry award after Param Vir Chakra and Maha Vir Chakra. Group Captain Abhinandan Varthaman, who shot down a Pakistani F-16 jet during a dogfight over the Line of Control (LoC) on February 27, 2019, was on Independence Day awarded Vir Chakra by President Ram Nath Kovind at an investiture ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi. The citation said, “Despite being captured by the enemy, he continued to display exceptional resolve in dealing with the adversary in a stoic, brave and dignified manner till he was repatriated on March 1, 2019.”

RECEIVING THE GOVERNOR'S GOLD MEDAL Receiving a governor’s gold medal for academic excellence in class 10 examination  is such an exciting feeling but I know it is just a milestone to real Vision.  Today is a new day and it brings with it a new set of opportunities for me to act on. I am attentive to the opportunities and I seize them as they arise. I have full confidence in myself and my abilities. I can do all things that I commit myself to. No obstacle is too big or too difficult for me to handle because what lies inside me is greater than what lies ahead of me. I am committed to improving myself and I am getting better daily. I am not held back by regret or mistakes from the past. I am moving forward daily. I believe that even the smallest changes in our daily routine can create incredible ripple effects that expand our vision of what is possible. The comfort zone is a psychological state in which one feels familiar, safe, at ease, and secure.  If you always do what is easy an

BIRTHDAY WEEK - MY 16th Birthday  Thank you so much Laasya for all the thoughtful words and amazing messages you have given me on my birthday. I'm so blessed and grateful to have you as my friend. You really made my day great. Happy day indeed! Can't wait to see what this year has for me. Hopefully we get to spend more time and create more memories together. Thank you for always being there for me. It’s not easy being a teen; and when you are about to turn 16, the approaching adulthood paves the way for a bit more of freedom. The sixteenth birthday has been traditionally celebrated with a bit more pomp and grandeur in some cultures as it is viewed as a coming-of-age time for teenagers; in some countries this is the age when they are eligible to apply for a driver’s license. In Latin America, families mark a girl’s 15th birthday, called QuinceaƱera, to denote that a girl is transitioning into womanhood. In the UK, US and Canada, girls go all out to celebrate their 16th birthday,

Doodle it Out – Way to Mindfulness When faced with constant change and uncertainty, it can be difficult for even the most optimistic people to stay upbeat. But there’s an artistic way to manage your anxiety about the future: Doodle it out. “While it may sound a bit crazy, doodling can actually help calm the racing mind and bring it back to a more quiet, restful space, not unlike meditation,” says Carol Edmonston, author of The Healing Power of Doodling: Mindfulness Therapy To Deal With Stress, Fear & Life Challenges, who used the power of doodling to help her stay positive through two bouts of breast cancer. “This year, when the entire population is under stress, it’s arguably more important than ever to find methods of coping that are simple, repeatable, free and fun.” Doodling isn’t always linear. In fact, sometimes it’s cylindrical, diagonal, spherical or possibly even polka-dotted. The point is a doodle—which is defined as an aimless sketch, design or scribble often created whi
