HAIR AID : DONATING MY HAIR TO CANCER PATIENTS  I was only 8 years old when I first decided to donate her hair, patiently  growing my  hair for two years. Growing hair for 14 inches was the goal...a difficult one...enough to make a wig. I am so happy for difference she has created in the life of a cancer patient ...The Joy of Giving. "Are you sure this is what you want to do?" my hairstylist asked, her worried face staring back at me in the mirror. I responded yes; I was sure. "There's no going back, you know." I knew, but in an effort to assure her of my confidence I turned my head around, looked her straight in the eye with a huge grin and told her that I was positive about my decision. I always wanted to contribute towards the life of Cancers patients and finally inspired to donate my long hair to the cancer patients.  I still remember the day when the scissors snip together slowly making that unmistakable crunching  sound,

COVID BANNERS  The arts community came together to support each other during the pandemic. The original art banners, installed in October of 2020, reinforced COVID safety measures and focused on masking up, social distancing, and mindfulness behaviours to support the City’s public health campaign, made possible by the school team. It is my creative effort to make a positive difference during the challenging period of uncertainty...  Art is an integral, necessary and vibrant part of Thane's culture -  our creative expressions feeds the soul.”

LITTLE FREE LIBRARY When I see books in my home bookshelf I feel that they are least utilized as I hadn’t picked them up for many years after my first or second read and they can be given to ones who need them. We have a large community of such readers who are regular donors and wished if they join the movement to make books available and accessible to all. Little free library Thane is inspired by that thought that “ Somewhere there is a kid who is reading a book from our library ”. Library is open all the time. “ Take a book and share a book” , but yes you can always take a book.                                                        “ After nourishment, shelter and companionship, stories are the things we need most in the world .” Books and Stories, a powerful combination, and I truly believe there exist books which can inspire and help someone realize his or her Dreams and Life Goals.  Books have magical powers and have transformational qualities. Moreover, it can take you through s

A POP OF COLOUR  Was exploring different facial expressions and art techniques and this is what I came up with . A different colour highlighted in each design with pencil shading , this is probably one of my most unique art pieces. THE FACE SAYS IT ALL -  BLUE HERE IS HIGHLIGHTED, I LOVE THE FACIAL EXPRESSIONS IN THESE,  THEY'RE ALL SO DIFFERENT FROM EACH OTHER AND SHOWS THEIR UNIQUENESS ITS GOOD TO SEE YOU - MADE THIS BRIGHT NEON DESIGN USING THESE NEW PAINT PEN MARKERS,  A BIT TRICKY TO USE BUT I ENJOYED LEARNING TO USE A DIFFERENT TOOL WHILE MAKE THIS  RUDOLPH THE RED NOSE GIRAFFE -  THIS ONE REALLY BRINGS THE HOLIDAY SPIRIT, WITH RED REINDEER GLASSES , I  REALLY LOVE THE PENCIL SHADING AND THE DETAILING IN THIS ONE

LETTER ANIMALS A few of my old digital arts that I did back in quarantine last year. fitting names and letters into different animals was something I came up with while I was trying different art styles and exploring digital art . KANGAROO - MRIGANGI The first ever lettering that I did , I was so happy with the results of how perfectly my name fit into it   I had so much fun filling in the colours and writing my own name in it  FLAMINGO- JAYANTA A tricky one , especially to make the head look like a "J" without ruining the shape but I really love the pretty pink colours of the flamingo so I had to make a flamingo one .      SNAIL -  SWATI This is my personal favourite , especially cause the letters fit in so well , my favourite part is the little antennas with the letters on it  . This one's also a little different from the rest because it has a wooden effect to it which I absolutely love .
